HOME GAME - Scimitars v Slough Jets - SUNDAY 4th April, 5.30pm at iceSheffield

Sheffield Scimitars are in Play-Off action this week-end. They face Slough Jets over two legs with the 2nd and deciding leg taking place at Ice Sheffield on Sunday afternoon, face-off at 5:30pm.

Adults £8.50, Child £4.00, Conc £6.00, Family £20.00

The Scimitars will be hoping for a return to the blistering form they showed at the start of the season and which was repeated last Sunday night as they comfortably beat the Jets in their final league games of the season, despite being down to 12 skaters, including only two imports.

With a place in the EPL Finals at Coventry up for grabs the Scimitars will be looking to repeat last week-end's double-header wins against Slough. Scimitars' The Head Coach might be feeling his team have the best chance but he will not underestimate the fact that the up-coming games have a greatly added intensity and that 7th placed Scimitars will facing the League's runners-up who will be out to avenge last weekend's losses.

Scimitars captain Peter Slamiar said he was desperate to take his side to the Skydome. "Winning both games against Slough last weekend was just great for our confidence, particularly given the run we've had since the start of January," he said. "We proved to ourselves that we can beat them, although everybody realises that the play-off games will be different. "If we can compete like we did against Slough last weekend, we are capable of getting similar results.

There will also be some added spice as the two Great Britain ice hockey coaches, Head Coach (U18's) and Pete Russell (U20's), go head to head this week-end with their respective Clubs. Both have achieved international success gaining gold medals and promotion to Division 1 in the World Championships and so both have great experience of big games.
