News Article | 15th March 2010 » OT Win against Guildford Flames
Scimitars enjoyed a great road win against Guildford Flames on Sunday in their 2nd away game of the weekend.
Despite being 3-1 down going into the last 10 minutes of the game, the Scimitars fought back with two well-timed goals by Mark Stewart to take the game into overtime and then to clinch the two points just over a minute into overtime.
Scimitars retain their 7th League position, with Swindon vying with Bracknell by making a late running for the final play-off spot. Final Premier league positions and Quarter Final opponents will become clearer after next weekend's games, though Scimitars look likely to be facing Slough Jets on the final two consecutive weekends.
Scimitars are home at iceSheffield on both Saturday and Sunday next weekend:
Saturday 20th v Manchester @ 7.30pm and Sunday 21st v Swindon @ 5.30pm.
Both games should be very competitive and feisty as there will be some scores to settle with Manchester from last Saturday, as well as the determination to take at least one win from our Northern rivals this season; and on Sunday, Swindon will still be fighting for all available points for the chance to prolong their season into the quarter finals.
