The Sheffield Scimitars were invited by Moor Sheffield to take part in a charity fundraising event to raise money for Weston Park Charity Appeal on Wednesday 25th February.

It was a well attended evening at The Plug on Matilda Street. A number of players repesented the team at the event, a fashion show with clothes provided by stores on The Moor, and the players walked the cat walk to help promote the Scimitars. They carried it off with style to an enthusiastic audience and with Captain Peter Slamiar in particular showing the audience what hockey players are made of!

The evening raised £3,000 for the Charity which was a superb result and will greatly benefit the people of Sheffield by helping fund research and treatments.
