Face Off 7.30pm on Wednesday at iceSheffield

Scimitars take on table-topping Milton Keynes in this mid-week fixture after a tough weekend.

This will be the 4th match-up between the teams, with Lightning edging the series courtesy of an agonisingly late equaliser followed by a penalty shootout for the 2-3 OT win on their last visit to iceSheffield.

While Milton Keynes only lie 6th in the League in goals scored (153), just above Scimitars (141) with Monir Kalgoum and Andre Smulter being their top goal scorers, on the defence side they have conceded the fewest goals in the League. The Scimitars are going to have to be smart in front of net on Wednesday to beat either Barry Hollyhead or Alex Mettam.

Conversely MK are the 2nd highest penalty takers with 832 penalty minutes (to Scimitars 471) with Leigh Jamieson and Grant McPherson being the main culprits, which should make for a lively game at iceSheffield.

The Brittle brothers will also be playing against each other again as Stuart faces Adam, who scored the game-winning penalty shot at the last encounter.
