News Article | 27th January 2010 » Jonesy back at Scims training
It was a big night at Scimitars' practise tonight as long suffering Paul Jones took to the ice for the first time since last season.
He said "Everything was fine out on the ice, even if a little frustrating due to my recovery programme".
Jones took his place in the dressing room alongside his team mates who welcomed him back with the usual mickey taking and banter. Coach Jon Rowbotham said "it was good to see Paul on the ice with the team and I hope he continues to make a speedy recovery from surgery".
Jones had major hip surgery last Autumn and the recovery programme was on target for the scheduled return to the ice. Paul is realistic about his progress and is desperate to help the team but knows that he has to take small steps to ensure everything is done, just as his doctor orders.
