Scimitars at home - TONIGHT!

Great action at iceSheffield tonight v Guildford Flames.

The Scimitars will be welcoming their Gold Medal winners back when they face-off against the Flames at 5.30pm, followed by a live auction of the special Christmas Scimitars' game-worn shirts at the end of the game in the Glacier Suite with some of the proceeds going to Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.

Ben Bowns, Matt Haywood and Tom Squires return to the team for tonight's action and will be much needed reinforcement against the Flames who have scored 30 goals in their last 3 games since signing their latest import.

The Scimitars have always found Guildford a tough team to beat and the 8-1 thrashing in October was reminiscent of last season. However, on the last visit, Jon Rowbotham turned the team around after going 2 early goals down and the Scimitars went on the offensive to deliver their own 4-8 thrashing of a team with top paid imports. Guildford will be out for revenge for that defeat suffered in front of their huge home crowd and Scimitars will be out to prove it was not a fluke result.

There are just three points between the teams but the Scimitars have a game in hand over Guildford. so the Scimitars need the two points tonight. The Scimitars have recently found the means to win despite being short-benched whilst missing their top British players to international duty and illness, with some young ENL players stepping up and getting on the scoresheet too.

The festive spirit will start pre-game when there is a party before the game for the Supporters' Club children.
