Following a road trip down to Bracknell on Saturday, Sheffield Scimitars return to iceSheffield to face their rivals from across the Pennines, table-topping Manchester Phoenix, in Premier League action on Sunday in what will be a cracker of a game. This will be the 5th time these two teams have met with all games, two challenge and two League, resulting in one tie and with Manchester just edging it in the other three.

All games have been tight, physical and played at speed, this Sunday will be no different as the Scimitars will be targeting an overdue win whilst they are on a roll.

Both teams go into the weekend fixtures on a winning streak, the ex-Elite team hit the top of the League table for the first time this weekend after winning their 4th consecutive game but the Scimitars have won their last 6 games and lie in 5th place.

Ex-Scimitar Iain Bowie has found goal-scoring form at Manchester, so will be one for the Scimitars to close down, as well as ex-Steelers hot-shots Tony Hand and Ed Courtenay, plus Finnish forward Jaakko Hagelberg.

Robert Farmer, Matt Haywood, Tom Squires and Ben Bowns will be back with the Scimitars fresh from the GB U20's training camp at iceSheffield this week, along with some Manchester players, after playing in the GB U20's game v Scimitars on Tuesday.
