24.10.09 Milton Keynes Lightning v Sheffield Scimitars 2-4

A great and well-deserved away win last night for the Scimitars in a hard-working team performance against top-of-the-league Milton Keynes Lightning. The Scimitars now lie in 6th position in the Premier League table

After a few recent changes in personnel, Mark Stewart flew in from Canada on Wednesday and after one training session with the team, he was awarded MOM with a goal and an assist. Pasi Raitanen turned aside 50 out of 52 shots on goal to keep the Scimitars in with the chance of a win.

The Scimitars head off to Romford tonight for the second of their away games this weekend but will be back at iceSheffield next Sunday, 1st November, 5.30pm for the first of 5 consecutive Sunday home games.
