Following the recent announcement of the new Head Coach, the Scimitars will be able to announce the first new signings for next season's squad by the end of this week.

Ian Johnson said 'Several weeks after taking over at the Scimitars, I am please to confirm that Head Coach has signed a number of players for our next season's campaign. Players will be announced over the coming weeks in the media and on the Scimitars' website.

The new directors and coach ask the fans for their continuing patience 'as we have a lot of work to get through to bring the right team together for next year' and we are grateful to all the fans for their continued support.

Head Coach adds "I have been really busy over the past couple of weeks, scouting players, negotiating player contracts and setting out a structure for the summer and pre- season events. Also I am finishing off the coaching system which will be utilised by the players during the forthcoming season. The players are expected to work hard over the summer on their overall conditioning and will be subject to a fitness test late July ready for on-ice team training will start at the beginning of August.

I want to assure you all that next season's team will be a balanced outfit, full of players who wear their hearts on their sleeves and all will understand what is expected of them. As you will appreciate, this takes time to generate the correct environment aimed at a team who will play together as a cohesive unit".
