The Scimitars have enjoyed a fantastic home winning streak of 8 games in the last 9, with the last game going to overtime for a point. They currently sit in 6th League position but are still challenging the teams above them.

This is only the 3rd time Sheffield and Peterborough have met this season with the Scimitars taking 3 points out of the available 4 points. However, the Phantoms are in joint place at the top of the League with Guildford, and are targeting a League title this season.

The games between the Scimitars and Phantoms have always been hard fought contests and with the teams facing each other twice this weekend, Saturday's game will be no different. The Scimitars have their excellent home form to defend to gain the first two points on offer, while for the Phantoms, a four point weekend is essential as Saturday represents one of the games in hand over their title rival, Guildford.

The Scimitars shut down the Phantoms free-scoring forwards for a tight 3-2 win in their barn early in the season but in contrast, the fans at iceSheffield enjoyed a 17 goal thriller, including overtime and a penalty shoot-out in that last confrontation. There will be plenty more great action this Saturday!
