The Sheffield Scimitars have completed another major signing - law firm Handley Brown Solicitors.

Handley Brown provide both personal and business law services to clients across the country, ranging from personal injury and employment law to debt recovery and contract issues.

The company, which operates nationwide, becomes the associate sponsors of the Scimitars, helping to provide financial support to the club and the teams it runs, ranging from U10s to the senior side.

Sheffield Scimitars, who play in the English Ice Hockey Premier League, have already signed a shirt deal with the Copthorne Group who recently opened a new four-star hotel at Bramall Lane.

Martin Birch, chairman of the Scimitars, said: "In the last few years we have enjoyed regular success on the ice. We are now looking to take this success to a new level and develop the strength of the club both on and off the ice.

"Having signed up Copthorne Hotels as club sponsor we are delighted to add Handley Brown to our team. We now have two great firms on board, both of whom are committed to help develop the Sheffield Scimitars and provide assistance to our supporters."

Laurence Brown, a partner with Handley Brown solicitors, is originally from Sheffield and is keen for the law firm to give its backing to sport within the city. The company is already sponsors of Sheffield Wednesday Football Club.

Laurence said: "We are delighted to give our support to the club and continues our commitment to backing sports teams in Sheffield.
