Shudra signs-up Scimitars backbone

Sheffield Scimitars have signed up six more players as they put in place the backbone of their squad for next season.

New coach Ron Shudra has been busy adding to his player roster as fans welcomed news of season ticket deals.

"I am sure the fans will be delighted with the signings. They are key members of the squad. They will provide the backbone for next season," said Shudra. "All have earned their places through their performances last season."

The six are Simon Butterworth, John Woolhouse, Oliver Barron, Robert Farmer, Lee Haywood and Stuart Brittle.

Shudra is confident of announcing further names shortly as talks progress with a number of other players.
