Some of you maybe aware that this year is the 100th Year of the IIHF and, as Britain was a founder member, IHUK are keen to be seen as undertaking a range of events to celebrate this.

Youth hockey in England and Scotland are organising large scale jamboree's for U10s on 1st and 2nd March and the Elite League and English Premier League have taken on board a fund raising activity when special "one-off" captain's shirts will be worn over the weekend of 1st & 2nd March by each team captain and then that shirt will be auctioned to supporters ( Ron will be wearing our shirt at the game v Telford Tigers on 2nd March ).

Funds raised by the auctions will be left with IHUK as contributions towards the cost of operating the GB teams on which the Scimitars have several representatives.

After having been worn, the shirt is to be cleaned and returned to EIHA along with the details of the person winning at auction. They will then arrange for the shirt to be sent to the person along with a certficate of authenticity signed by the EIHA and IHUK.

The shirt itself is of standard home shirt design and will have a panel incorporated ( I believe on the breast ) confirming it's authenticity.
We have been asked by the EIHA to put a reserve price of £ 100 on the shirt.

Auction bids will be accepted in writing ( forms available on the desk ) at all home games from Sunday 24th February until the start of the third period during the game on the 2nd March and will follow the usual format.
