News Article | 27th October 2007 » Preview: 27th 28th Oct. Scimitars v Peterborough
The Scimitars take on Peterborough Phantoms home and away this weekend.
In their return to home ice after three weeks on the road, the Scimitars face-off at 7.15 in a Cup game against Peterborough. The Phantoms will not be quite the same team that the Scimitars have beaten on the previous two encounters as a new Canadian coach, Phil David, has recently been appointed.
Coach Neil Abel will be hoping that the Scimitars are ready to go at the first drop of the puck this week and play with style on home ice rather than grinding out a win. Both teams have played 5 games, Sheffield have got 10 points and Peterborough have 6 points.
The League game in Peterborough on Sunday, face-off 5.30pm, will be a tough game and one the Scimitars need to win to stay around the top of the table.
