Hi to everyone, hope you are all having a good summer and not missing hockey too much! Just to let you all know my phone has been ringing non stop and the emails are still flooding in.

I have been speaking with Dean Tonks recently who I really thought was going to make the move to Sheffield, but he has decided to move to Telford where he has found a new job and it is near to home meaning no travelling for him. I really thought he was gonna come, but this is an example of where a player decides on what is right for them. He would have been a great signing, but I am now talking to others who would equally be good for the team.

Last year's team members, with the exception of a couple, have now been spoken with concerning their future with the Club. I am now waiting for vacations to be completed and hope to have this resolved in the next couple of weeks. The rest of the squad have already signed and been announced or have contracts in their possession for them to put their moniker on. Their names will come out as soon as this process is completed.

Regarding import news, I am still looking at various options and don't want to jump at the first selection available. I need to make sure that they are capable and will do the job we want them to do. My options at present are tending towards Swedes and Slovakians. They have to be the right ones for the club.
