Stephen Wallace

Experienced forward Stephen Wallace has decided to leave title winners Bracknell Bees to join the Scimitars for the 07/08 season. Speaking today he said "I would love to help Sheffield win the title next year, they are a young team that is definitely going places. It has a good set up with loads of potential. I have played with Dowd and Duncombe whilst on G.B. duty and they both speak highly of the club. My aim next season is to have both team and personal success and I look forward to playing in South Yorkshire with its great supporters. I was always impressed when I cam with Bracknell and it will be a fantastic opportunity." Coach Neil Abel is expecting great things from his latest signing. "He should prove to be a power forward that will help carry the puck and score plenty of points, and will help gel a still developing team."

Jon Woolhouse

There has been a further signing of the team by a stalwart player, Jon Woolhouse. He has played his entire hockey in Sheffield apart from two seasons. He said "It's great to be back, I enjoy playing with the lads at Sheffield and I want to be part of a winning team. I aim to score more points next season and hopefully be able to help earn some silverware for the trophy cabinet. I just want to play and get the job done. We have great facilities here and the on and off ice people do a great job. I am happy to be back and had no hesitation when I was offered the chance. Sure there will be a couple of new faces, but I am confident that they will fit in well."
