After this weekend's win against 2nd placed Bracknell Bees, the Scimitars top the League by three points with a game in hand over them. A great win in the Beehive means that the Scims have beaten them 5 out of 5 in regular League games since moving up to the English Premier League, with the only loss being at Coventry in the Play-offs 3rd/4th game.

In a superb start to the season, the Scimitars have now won 14 out of 15 games in the League and Cup, losing just the once to Slough 0-2. This is despite being without Stuart Brittle, sidelined with a shoulder injury, and a 4th non British-trained player, (talks with a prospective replacement ongoing). The team have gelled well and are working hard together every game for the wins. As the sceptics around the League are quick to point out though, we still have to face Guildford and Milton Keynes, and these were teams we struggled to get any points off last year, at home or away. The Scimitars meet Milton Keynes twice in November, and Guildford on three consecutive weekends in December.

If anyone would like to travel and support the team in Milton Keynes on November 4th, the team would welcome some friendly cheering to help them keep the winning streak going. Otherwise, come to iceSheffield on Sunday 5th November, F/O at 5.15 pm for an action-packed Bonfire Night celebration of fun and games - as well as hockey!
