The Sheffield Scimitars have agreed to play the Sheffield Steelers in a match scheduled to take place at iceSheffield on the 9th of November 2006. Face off will be at 8pm, with doors opening at 7.30pm.

Coach Abel will be hoping that his team, who has played eleven games chalking up ten wins with only one defeat, will be capable of stopping the Steelers forwards breaching the Scimitars defences. This will also be the first time that ex-Steeler legend, Ron Shudra, will be playing against his former team mates, something that is bound to prove interesting for both Ron will definitely want to give a solid performance for his new teammates and Scimitars supporters, who have quickly appreciated his contribution to the team. Ron said "I have made several good friends with the Steelers, but I am a Scimitar now and that is who I will be trying to help secure a win for on the night". Steelers have had mixed fortunes, with eight games played to date, with only four wins gained.

Tickets to go on sale at iceSheffield reception from 10am - 5pm on 30th October 2006. Tickets will also be available on the day of the match.
