On Sunday, after a bruising game on Saturday with a short-benched team and a 4 goal deficit to overturn, the Scimitars set about the task with energy. Both games were played in the traditional play-off hockey style, though Saturday's game was faster and more intense but both were end to end and hard-hitting.

In a fairly evenly balanced 0-0 first period there were no penalties called and the game was free-flowing but physical as both teams put the checks in. Slough finally got on the scoreboard in the second period at 27.23 with a PP goal by Peter Poljacek. Scimitars powerplay unit did not have the same success as the previous week and failed to capitalise on the 5-on-3 opportunity, only managing one shot on goal. Ben Bowns made some excellent saves to prevent more goals and finally the Scimitars equalised through Arran Strawson who buried the puck at 34.24. However Jets restored the 5 goal lead at 37.06 by Ciaran Long.

The third period was also scoreless and without penalties, with Scimitars trying to break through Slough's defence but tiring after the frenetic pace of the previous night. Play continued end to end but scoring chances were limited to 9 shots each in the third with both netminders being awarded MOM. The game ended 1-2 to Slough with the aggregate score being 2-7 and Slough progressing to the Premier League Play-off Finals next week in Coventry. A disappointing end of the season for the Scimitars but a big learning curve of experience for many involved with the young team this year.
