Scimitars travelled to Swindon for Saturday's game hoping to make it a clean sweep of away points against the Wildcats, whilst knowing that Swindon were fighting hard for a play-off place.

A fairly even first few minutes as Scimitars took advantage of a powerplay opportunity, during which they managed 2-3 shots on goal but without scoring. Swindon took the lead even-handed at 8.52 as Matt Foord fired in top corner. Swindon killed off another penalty at 13.10 with Sheffield unable to put the puck behind Douglas despite two great chances. It was then Swindon who scored at 17.22, via Gareth Endicott from a cross-ice pass by Aaron Nell, to take the score to 2-0 at the end of the 1st period, despite Sheffield outshooting the hosts.

Into the 2nd period and Scimitars got on the scoresheet as Mark Stewart scored a goal at 21.22, assisted by Arran Strawson, to cut Swindon's lead in half. Tom Squires equalised at 29.51, firing the puck over Douglas's shoulder, with assists by Mark Turner and Chris Wilcox. Now it was game on for the Scimitars. Unfortunately for Sheffield, Aaron Nell was able to lift the puck top shelf off a great pass from Jan Krajicek to retake the lead at 34.34 for a 3-2 lead at the end of forty minutes.

Swindon stepped up the pressure on net in the third, especially during two powerplays, but with Ben Bowns making some great saves to keep the Scimitars with just the one goal deficit. Scimitars tried to press forward, but Swindon's defencemen shut down the number of chances on their goal before Swindon grabbed the winner with their 4th at 56.45, as Jason Cassells converted a two on one play with Danilics assisting. Peter Slamiar was given MOM award.
