The Scimitars took the road again on Saturday for their third away game in a row and their first trip to Slough this season.

Saturday's game was another example of 100% team effort, with excellent passing and possession making 3rd placed Slough look very ordinary. Two quick fire goals in the first minute set the tone for the evening and with period scoring of 3-0 in the first and 4-2 in the second period, the Scimitars looked assured in the driving seat.

The Scimitars went straight into action with a misplaced pass from Slough's new acquisition, Slava Koulikov, landing on Peter Slamiar's stick for a first strike at 34 seconds assisted by Mark Stewart and Arran Strawson. At 45 seconds Matt Haywood made it 2-0 to the Scimitars, assisted Robert Farmer. A 3-0 first period was then achieved by James Archer assisted again by Stewart.

Slough struck back shortly after the start of the 2nd period by Greenerat 21.41, but the three goal lead was restored shortly after at 22.51 by Wallace, at, 24.03 by Strawson and by Archer again at 26.58 causing Slough to change their netminders. The Scimitars were too strong for Slough who were left reeling with the onslaught. Another strike by each team with Matt Haywood claiming his 2nd of the night at 39.36 left Slough chasing a 2-7 scoreline going into the 3rd period.

Slough were only able to come back with one consolation goal at 56.55 as the Scimitars dominated and deservedly came away with the two points and a 7-3 scoreline, with James Archer being awarded MOM for his performance and two goals.
