Match Report | 18th November 2009 » Bracknell Bees 6-3 Sheffield Scimitars
Face Off: 6.00pm, Saturday 14th November 2009
14.11.09
With closures on the M1, Scimitars had a long journey south, arriving in Bracknell just 25 minutes before the game. Despite Sheffield being on a roll from the previous few weeks, it was Bracknell who threw Sheffield off their stride and game plan.
James Archer scored a great goal at 5.05 after a good pass from Stephen Wallace with the keeper having no chance. Bracknell scored at 10.59 to end the first period tied at 1-1. The play became physical in the second with Robert Farmer and Archer embroiled in some rough stuff. Bracknell took the lead by 3-2 in the second with Matt Haywood scoring at 39.12.
Bracknell went 5-2 up in the third with Cesky claiming his 2nd before Mark Stewart beat Ambler at 55.14. Despite Sheffield outshooting Bracknell by 22 shots to 9, it was Bracknell who completed the scoring with an empty net goal at 59.57 to end the game 6-3.
James Archer and Ryan Watt were awarded MOM's.
