The Scimitars had travelled down to Milton Keynes on Saturday for a quick re-match after last Sunday's penalty shootout win, hoping to take another 2 points to square the regular season series. With illness in the camp and Wallace not in the line-up this was going to be a challenge.

A very tight scoreless first period gave the Scimitars some encouragement and despite being outshot 19-11, they stayed with the Lightning well. The Scimitars couldn't capitalise on two early powerplays as Milton Keynes disrupted play well with some short-handed break-outs too. Both teams worked hard but could not find a way past the goalies resulting in a scoreless 1st period.

Although the Scimitars created some good chances they could not finish and it was Milton Keynes who took the lead finally at 30.29 through a Gary Clarke shot on target. There was plenty of mid-ice play and turn-overs by both teams but the Lightning dominated possession in the period. With Goodman in the penalty box for hooking at 39.56, it only took two seconds for Clark to hammer in his second goal on the PP at 39.58 for a 2-0 scoreline.

The Brittle, Farmer, Gibson line worked hard all night causing the Lightning problems and Robert Farmer flicked the puck up over Hollyhead after some good passing from Gibson and Brittle for 2-1. However, another couple of penalties were the Scimitars undoing with two quick PP goals at 45.23 and 45.54 which put a win out of reach with a final 4-1 score. Robert Farmer was awarded a deserved MOM.
