Saturday's game 1st leg of the weekend in Slough did not get off to a good start after a later than planned arrival by the team coach due to very heavy traffic and then a fluke goal scored by Slough at 03.46. A second goal at 05.34 scored by Moria on a break set the trend for the evening though the Scimitars did pull back to 2-2 by the end of the first via Farmer at 09.16, assisted by Millqvist and Slamiar almost straight after Slough had killed of a penalty on Chinn. The Scimitars then killed off a penalty on Sikl at 10.43 before Sikl scored the equaliser in a melee around the net at 16.40, assisted by Barron and Morgan. A fairly even first period in shots on goal, goals and penalty minutes.

An early strike in the second by Millqvist put the visitors ahead at 22.05 but this was short-lived and a demolition job by Moria at 23.14 and 25.39, Ciccarello at 28.38 and Spearing at 29.28 put the Scimitars well onto the back foot as they struggled to get the puck out of their zone until the last 5 minutes of the period. Turnovers and poor passing by the Scimitars gave the Jets plenty of puck possession.

Lloyd Gibson managed to retrieve one for the Scimitars at 46.06, assisted by Farmer and Brittle but this was sandwiched between two other markers by Slough, for Moria's 4th and Ciccarello's 2nd of the night for a bruising 8-4 final scoreline. Farmer was awarded MOM.
