Saturday against Bracknell Bees saw the Scimitars at their best this season in front of a bumper crowd. Both sides attacked early but it was Steve Wallace who put the Scimitars on the board at 5.24 against his old team after he put the puck away on his second try, assisted by Robert Farmer and Stuart Brittle.

Peter Slamiar scored next after weaving through the defence before firing a shot in on the goalie at 8.48. The Scimitars third followed at 10.27 on the power play as Sikl skated down the wing and blasted a shot in low (assisted Butterworth) causing Bracknell to call a time-out. There were no more goals scored but plenty of pressure by both sides so the period ended 3-0 up for the Scimitars.

Bracknell resorted to more physical play out of frustration with Ollie Barron and Joe Baird receiving 2+2's after an altercation. Despite plenty of Bracknell possession, it was the Scimitars who extended the lead to 5-0 at the end of the second period. Farmer scored a beauty at 29.21 from an accurate long pass from James Goodman, evading the defence before deking the goalie. Wallace and Adam Greener had a few words after he had exited the penalty box from a roughing minor with Simon Butterworth, but Greener was sent straight back into box. Wallace was again on target at 38.33 for his second, putting it in up high assisted by Brittle and Haywood.

Wallace claimed his hat trick at 45.25 after jinking down the left wing before another high shot stretched the net assisted by Brittle and Farmer. Paul Jones lost his shut-out at 46.35 when Matt Foord capitalised on a rebound from Kaminskas. Matt Haywood replied with a superb goal at 48.46 as he worked the puck past three Bees before slotting it under Rockman for a 7-1 final score and a deserved MOM for Wallace for his 3+1 game though it was an excellent team performance from the goal out.
