Following their successful away weekend in the Isle of Wight, the Scimitars were on the road again in Telford on Saturday. The Scimitars started the game slowly and Telford took advantage with an early goal scored at 3.05 by Telford's new import forward, Andre Niec, getting himself on the gamesheet in his first game. He repeated this at 14.53 to give Telford a two goal lead which ran true to the Scimitars recent form before the Scimitars closed the gap at 18.23 with Sikl scoring a short-handed goal for a 2-1 period to Telford.

The biggest loss of this period however was in Ollie Barron who took a puck in the mouth and had to go to hospital for assessment for concussion and treatment with sutures to his mouth.

Sheffield equalised with the only goal of the 2nd period, and another short-handed one by Wallace at 32.20. Telford moved ahead at 43.42 with screened shot from Dumas followed by a Carlon goal at 52.40 with Slamiar continuing the fight back to score at 53.31. Sheffield could not find another equaliser and the game ended disappointingly for the Scimitars at 4-3 to Telford and Lee Haywood was awarded MOM.

Coach Ron Shudra's commented on the game 'The game was back and forth with both teams having scoring chances. We were unfortunate to deflect two goals into our net and a third shot was screened. We got out hustled at times but also played some good hockey. I think the score was about right but for the wrong team'.
