The Scimitars travelled to Telford for Saturday's game for an early return match and with Telford looking to take a rare win off Sheffield, especially after last week' 4-0 loss.

There was some niggling between the players from the first puck drop, rather indicating what was to come. The first period had only 2 minutes of penalties called on each team and ended with Lee and Lawrence keeping clean sheets with some good saves for the 0-0 scoreline on an even number of shots.

The Scimitars started the second period well but an early and controversial goal by Cassells at 23.16 set them back on their heels. The game started to turn feisty with Lawrence shoving Slamiar as he skated past him to the bench, resulting in roughing penalties for both teams at 28.24 as Telford players piled in. Haywood scored the equaliser at 31.33 with assists from Tait and Brittle but Telford soon restored their lead at 32.38 and again at 35.50. Slamiar scored a great goal fired straight into the back of the net from a pass by Shudra just before the buzzer for the end of the second period to bring the game back to a one goal deficit of 3-2.

Telford scored another controversial goal at 50.32 when the puck was considered to have crossed the line after hitting the post off a high sticking shot. A breakaway by Hornak put the game out of reach but the Scimitars pulled one back by Ron Shudra from Lloyd Gibson at 59.38 for a 5-3 final scoreline to Telford. MOM was given to Lee Haywood for a hard working performance and the first goal.
