Sheffield travelled to Slough on Sunday with previous results going 3-2 in favour of Sheffield. The Scimitars were missing Steve Wallace and Tom Squires but with Robert Dowd back in the line-up.

Slough started with pace and dominated the opening ten minutes, though with a good penalty-kill by the Scimitars. The Jets opened the scoring at 5.16 after Emersic raced in shorthanded and managed to get to a rebound after two saves. A second goal came off a face-off and screened shot by Bowman at 8.21 but the Scimitars worked themselves back into the game during the next ten minutes of the period. Sheffield were able to create a little more with their second powerplay but Slough's defence was good all night.

Kozic scored early in the second period, at 20.30, with the Scimitars starting a penalty kill shortly after, until Millie went for charging followed by Phillips for slashing, to give the Scimitars just over a minute of 5-on-3 powerplay. During this Ben Morgan cut the deficit with a well worked goal at 24.45, but Millie restored Slough's three goal margin in front of goal at 46.42 after some sustained pressure in the Scimitars' zone. While the Scimitars controlled the play at times, Slough always looked strong on the puck, moving it well up the ice, with Sheffield's defence having to work hard.

The Scimitars were restricted mainly to long shots on Skinns in the third, with the pressure being mainly at the other end. Thompson scored Slough's 5th after some attempts on goal at 49.28 with the 6th and final goal being scored by Redmond at 53.59. Sheffield tried hard to create some chances but Slough were too strong in defence and the final score was 6-1, with Jones and Redmond getting MOM awards.
