The Scimitars took to the road again on Sunday for their first visit of the season to the Hive and their 3rd game in 5 days. They were still missing 4th import, Pasi Raitanen as well as Tom Squires, with Matt Haywood and Ben Bowns drafted in.

The Scimitars dominated the first period, one of their best first periods for a few games. The passing was crisp with some neat back-passing and when the Bees pressed forward the defence worked hard to break up the offence. Sheffield were the most disciplined of the two teams, only conceding 2 minutes of penalties all game to Bracknell's ten minutes. The first and only goal of the period was scored after some action around Rockman's net by Matt Haywood at 2.41 who was well-placed to put it past Rockman, assisted by Peter Slamiar.

Bracknell came out strong in the second, gaining impetus with their equalising goal at 24.42, with a hard shot by Jasik that Jones got a piece of with the pads. The Bees turned the only penalty of the second to their advantage when Parrish intercepted the puck in their zone during their penalty kill, fed it to Jasik who passed it to a flying Kanka on a short-handed breakaway and a fine deke at speed at 32.42. While the Scimitars continued to work hard it was Bracknell who dominated that period and outshot the Scimitars.

Bracknell put the game out of reach straight off the face-off in the third with the same Kanka/Jasik combination producing the 3rd and final goal with a slapshot from the point straight in. Despite that setback, the Scimitars piled on the pressure on Rockman who came up with some excellent saves from 23 shots, from Shudra, who had 2 good shots, Slamiar and Moberg amongst others, earning himself MOM, with Peter Slamiar getting it for the Scimitars. A disappointing loss after plenty of hard work.
