Sheffield Scimitars finished the season with a win and a loss in their double-headed away weekend, missing three players, of which two were imports, Raitanen and Roberts, and travelling with only one netminder. Having clinched 2nd place in the League, and therefore able to slacken the intensity of play, the team would have liked to have gone out on a winning streak ready for the play-offs. However, Slough were aiming to improve their position from 4th to 3rd with two wins this weekend and Romford were playing their last home game of the season.
