In Saturday's game, the Scimitars had again had to alter their lines with Steve Roberts out injured and the GB U20's still away and it took them the first period to get into the game. Bracknell Bees skated hard and were the most aggressive in the first period, scoring two unanswered goals in less than two minutes at 16.43 and 18.19 by their top scorers, Aldridge and Smital. Although the Scimitars created some chances they were forced on to the defensive as Bracknell put 14 shots on Pasi to 8 shots on Craze and went into the first period break 2-0 down.

Despite Sheffield conceding an early short-handed goal in the second period, at 22.11 scored by Beveridge, they were playing better with the 3rd line also getting some ice time and once Millie had scored on the powerplay at 35.07 from a cross-goal pass from Shudra, the Scimitars seemed to get into a higher gear and put several accurate shots on goal, which were all denied.

An early third period powerplay goal by Stewart at 41.01 from a pass by Shudra from the face-off gave Sheffield the impetus to increase the pressure for an exciting 3rd period as they pursued an equalising goal. There were some good passing moves and scoring chances, though Pasi, in the Scimitars' net still faced 15 shots, with Stewart also blocking shots by lying on the ice. Bracknell scored the final goal at 58.51, unassisted by Smital to put the game out of reach, though the Scimitars worked really hard to score and did not give up trying till the final whistle blew.
