Back at home on Sunday after the long road trip to Swindon, the Scimitars were hoping to continue their 7 game winning streak. However, Slough, who are tipped at being League toppers this season were equally determined to spoil the party in front of a large home crowd.

Although the Scimitars, with Pasi Raitanen in net, held the game scoreless in the first period with some good passing and chances on goal, they could not find the back of the net. Watt tried to pick a fight with Millie six minutes into the game and got an extra 10 minutes misconduct for his efforts, and Chinn was his usual physical self but managed to evade the penalty box for 60 minutes.

The second period resumed after the Zamboni, which ran out of gas in the middle of the ice cut, finally finished but despite some excellent saves by Pasi, the Scimitars were unable to stop Kosic scoring the first goal of the game at 36.54.

The Scimitars were unable to reproduce the finishing touch that they had enjoyed the night before with Wall (MOM) blocking 33 shots for his shutout while Pasi (also MOM) saved 37 out of 39 shots. Slough's second goal came at 43.56 from Steve Moria to wrap up the scoring for the night in a fast-paced, end to end game.
