The Scimitars had a long road trip down to Chelmsford on Saturday, and had to work hard to come away 5-2 winners.

In the first period Chelmsford looked the more dangerous team, but Sheffield opened the scoring with a great top-corner SH goal by Millie, from Duncombe at 3.47. Chelmsford equalised at 15.22 by Randall but Sheffield extended their lead with a PP goal by Goodman from Towe at 18.11 to end the period 2-1 up.

In a goal-less second period with minimal penalties, the Scimitars failed to convert several good scoring chances, with Pasi Raitanen also making crucial saves to maintain the lead.

Following a strong team talk by coach Neil Abel, the Scimitars came out more focussed in the third period, with Millie claiming another great goal at 40.30 from Brittle and Morgan. Chelmsford kept in touch with a DP reply at 46.03 whilst they were also on the PP, but Millie's third identical top-shelf goal at 50.09 eased the pressure. Stewart put the win beyond any doubt at 57.11 with feeds from MOM Millie (3+1), and Shudra.
